Travelling Travelling

If you are travelling with the group as indicated in the programme, your coach transfer, the accommodation, the theatre tickets, lectures, and workshops will be booked through us. You are required to book your own flights and you will meet up with the group in London, where you will attend the options offered by the Globe and the Globe performance(s). The London part of the excursion takes place before your visit to Stratford-upon-Avon. There is, it goes without saying, the option of staying on in Britain after the course and returning home individually.

Accommodation

In recent years, the group stayed at a student house in London. This option will be offered again this year. There is, of course, always the option of choosing one's accommodation in London independently (and staying on in London after the excursion, for instance).

British Cottage

Typical English bed and breakfasts will provide the best accommodation during our stay in Stratford-upon-Avon. They are all located on the same street and are within walking distance of the town centre and the theatres (5–10 min). The rooms (single, double, or triple) are very cosy and equipped with a TV and tea making facilities for an enjoyable cup of afternoon tea. In addition, many rooms have their own bathrooms. The price includes a rich Continental or English breakfast: a great English experience!

Finances

The trip costs approximately CHF 800 (without flights and living expenses), depending on the programme and the number of participants. In the past few years, the University of Zurich and the ZUNIV covered a considerable part of the travelling costs for its own students. It goes without saying that we apply for this kind of funding every year.
