Semester Dates

In the spring semester 2013, classes begin on 18 February 2013 and end on 1 June 2013.

In the autumn semester 2013, classes begin on 16 September 2013 and end on 21 December 2013.

Dates for Course Enrolment

Please find the dates for course enrolments as well as the booking deadlines for all modules in B.A. and M.A. study courses in the section Module booking on the University Homepage or, alternatively, consult the relevant section on the Studiendekanat website.

Dates for Zwischenprüfung Enrolment

All candidates for the Zwischenprüfung must complete the official enrolment form available from the department office. Please ensure that you do so as early as possible.

Dates for Graduation Registration

Bachelor and Master students must register to graduate at the end of the semester in which they hope to complete their studies. This must be done during the following periods: spring semester, 15-30 March; autumn semester, 15-30 October. Registration is activated by clicking on the relevant button on the online Leistungsübersicht, and by sending in the form which can be downloaded there. More information is available on the Faculty website.

Dates for Lehrdiplom Translation Exams

The Translation exam for Lehrdiplom candidates will take place on the following dates:
Monday, 17 June 2013
Monday, 2 September 2013
Monday, 3 February 2014
Monday, 16 June 2014
Monday, 8 September 2014

As of 1st March 2013, registration for the translation examinations is no longer done with the Studiendekanat, but candidates should register directly with the English Department Sekretariat. Registration must be completed no less than four weeks before the exam date. Late registrations will not be accepted. The registration form is available on the downloads page.

The oral exam will continue to be given by individual professors. Students should make an appointment with the professor with whom they wish to take the exam, and then submit the registration form available on the downloads page to the English Department Sekretariat.

Upon successful completion of both examinations, we will add the Sprachkompetenzprüfung module for English to your Lehrdiplom records.
