Lehrdiplom für Maturitätsschulen
Fachwissenschaftliche Vertiefung mit pädagogischem Fokus
As part of the course in the Lehrdiplom für Maturitätsschulen, students who are aiming to teach only English are required to take courses which fulfil the requirement of "fachwissenschaftliche Vertiefung mit pädagogischem Fokus" (FWV). Of the total 60 KP required for the Lehrdiplom degree, 12 KP are reserved for the FWV courses. These courses are worth 6 KP each.
The English Department usually offers at least two seminars open to Lehrdiplom students each semster. There is no guarantee that a course will be offered in the fields of both English Literature and English Linguistics in every semester. Unless otherwise advertised at the beginning of the course, the work required to gain the 6 KP credit is a presentation and a paper.
