Yeats Society Sligo
The Yeats Society in Sligo, Ireland, organises the Yeats International Summer School every year - an opportunity to learn about the famous Nobel-prize winning poet William Butler Yeats (1865-1939), comprising cultural events and excursions in the beautiful county Sligo.

Stipend and Travel Bursary
We are happy to announce that the Yeats Society Sligo offers a place to one student from Switzerland every year (tuition fee of €650.- waived).
The successful candidate will also receive an invitation to the Saint Patrick's Day Reception of the Irish Embassy in Berne.
The Yeats Summer School Stipend was established in 2018, with the first stipend awarded in 2019. The following is a list of all past recipients:
- 2020: Sorcha Walsh, Université de Lausanne (stipend postponed to 2021, as the Yeats Summer School was canceled due to COVID-19)
- 2019: Jonas Nicolas Biedermann, University of Basel
