Travelling, Accommodation, and Finances

The coach transfer, the accommodation, the theatre tickets, lectures, and workshops will be booked through us. You are required to book your own flights and you will meet up with the group in London, where you will attend the workshops and lectures offered by the Globe and the Globe performances. The London part of the excursion takes place before the visit to Stratford-upon-Avon. There is, of course, the option of staying on in Britain after the course and returning home later.

In London, the group will be staying at student housing.

British Cottage

Typical English bed and breakfasts will provide the best accommodation during our stay in Stratford-upon-Avon. They are all located on the same street and are within walking distance of the town centre and the theatres (5–10 min). The rooms (double, or triple) are very cosy and equipped with a TV and tea making facilities for an enjoyable cup of afternoon tea. In addition, the rooms have their own bathrooms. The price includes a rich Continental or English breakfast: a great English experience.

The trip costs approximately CHF 1100 (without flights and living expenses), depending on the programme and the number of participants. For every Shakespeare Week the organisers also try to secure funding from the University of Zurich and other organisations.
