Preliminary Remarks

The following sample timetables suggest some of the ways in which one can study the three recommended tracks of the Master Minor in English Literature and/or Linguistics (30 ECTS).

There are three examples, one for each track:

  • English Literature and Linguistics
  • English Literature only
  • English Linguistics only

Important Note:

  • For students wishing to do the Lehrdiplom, we recommend the "English Literature and Linguistics" track.
  • None of these sample timetables are binding; they are intended as examples or 'templates.'

Sample Timetable for Full-Time Students (Literature & Linguistics)

  • This is the recommended track for students wishing to complete the teaching diploma (Lehrdiplom).
  • Students can start their studies either in the fall or in the spring semester.
  • In the case of two-semester modules, the total number of ECTS points is 'spread out' over two semesters.
  • In principle, it is possible to go abroad at any point. However, the final semester is not ideal for a stay abroad.
