Fokus Innovation
The "Fokus Innovation" project is dedicated to refining and optimizing the lecture component of the Textual Analysis module to create an engaging, interactive, and effective learning experience. Jointly led by ULF and the English Seminar, the project combines collaborative expertise to improve student engagement and attendance. In addition to integrating ongoing student feedback, the project introduces additional interactive exercises to maintain active participation and develops an Advance Organizer to clearly outline the structure, expectations and learning opportunities of the module’s different components. This collaborative and dynamic process ensures that the module not only evolves in real time to meet students’ needs but also effectively equips them with the foundational skills required for their subsequent studies in English.
The project is managed by Prof. Dr. Barbara Straumann and comprises Sandra Wörz (ES), M.A., Dr. Olivia Tjon-A-Meeuw (ES), Dr. Alexandra Jansky (ULF) and Dr. Tino Endres (IfE) as current collaborators. Previous contributors included Kim Robe, M.A. (ES), Hannah Lora Freeman, M.A. (ULF), and Dr. Tanja Habermeyer (IfE).
