Announcement: Shakespeare Week 2026

Announcement: Shakespeare Week 2026

August 26–29, 2026, London, UK

This year’s Shakespeare Week will take us to London, where we will visit the Globe Theatre to see MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, and LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST and to attend a guided tour of the playhouse.

The purpose of the excursion is to deepen students’ understanding of Shakespeare’s works by engaging with live performances, exploring the historical context of Elizabethan and Jacobean theatre, and gaining behind-the-scenes insights into modern theatre production. Through visits to iconic venues like the Globe Theatre, students will have the opportunity to connect their academic study of literature with the real-world experience of performance, interpretation, and theatrical practice.

Places: 12 BA/MA students

Credits: 3 ECTS
Credits can be earned upon attendance and submitting a portfolio task.

Information meetings:
Tuesday, March 17, 2026, 12:15-12:45, PLH-102
