Hans Martin Lehmann has been a member of the English Department of the University of Zurich since 1997. He holds a Lizentiat in English linguistics, philosophy and didactics from the University of Zurich. He works as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter and Lehrbeauftragter at the English Department, where he has taught seminars and lectures in Corpus Linguistics, Syntax, Pedagogical Grammar and Lexicogrammar as well as the course Introduction to Linguistics I & II. He is currently also developing a component in the project "Toolbox for the Digital Annotation and Analysis of Manuscripts".

He has authored and co-authored tools for corpus analysis like BNCweb, ZEN Online and Corpus Navigator. He also collaborated on the release version of the ZEN corpus. Currently he is developing BNC Dependency Bank and ICE Online together with Gerold Schneider. His main research interests are corpus linguistics, syntactic variation, collocation analyisis, lexis-grammar interactions and pedagocial grammar.
