Students, members of staff, and the general public are cordially invited to a guest lecture by Christina Maria Koch (Philipps University Marburg), entitled "The Legacy of Guy Fawkes in Contemporary Activism: Media Cultures, Political Aesthetics."

As part of Prof. Ana Sobral’s MA Seminar Gunpowder Plot, V for Vendetta, Anonymous: The Afterlives of Guy Fawkes, Christina Maria Koch will discuss the transformation of the Guy Fawkes mask into a global political icon and its use in protest movements from Occupy Wall Street to Anonymous.
