UZH Alumni English Studies: How to Become a Member

Members of the UZH Alumni English Studies will be entitled to the same benefits as all UZH Alumni members (see UZH Alumni website for details).

In addition, members:

• can buy the book Es begann mit Scott und Shakespeare: Eine Geschichte der Anglistik an der Universität Zürich by fromer UZH President, Prof. em. Dr. Andreas Fischer, for CHF 10.- instead of CHF 48.- (one copy per member; offer valid as long as stocks last);
• can join the ES Alumni Colloquia free of charge (CHF 100.- for non-members);
• will be informed via newsletter of important English Department events (two to six newsletters per year);
• will be invited to one two to guest lectures per year.

A one-year membership costs CHF 80.-

CHF 30.- per membership will go toward the ES Alumni Student Fund, aimed at supporting student projects. (A complete list of projects supported by the ES Alumni Student Fund is available under Past Projects).

The remaining CHF 50.- go to UZH Alumni and are used to support Alumni events, organizations, and projects, as well as to cover administrative costs.

The Alumni Chapter English Studies (est. May 2016) is part of UZH Alumni.

To become a member, simply fill in the membership form and choose "Alumni Chapter English Studies" in the drop-down menu.
