Editorial Note
- Before Milton Hebald's statue of Joyce was installed in 1966, Joyce's grave was – as described in Coleman's poem – merely a "spare flat gray slab" (see website of the Zurich James Joyce Foundation for pictures of the original grave as well as Hebald's statue).
