Bachelor Minor in English (60 ECTS): Sample Timetables for Part-Time Students

Disclaimer: The applicable legal regulations can be found in the framework ordinance (Rahmenverordnung) and the program regulation (Studienordnung) for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The information below is for illustrative purposes only and should be regarded as a recommendation. In case of any contradictions between this document and the legal regulations or between the German version and a translation, only the legal regulations or the German version, respectively, have legal bearing.

Part-Time Students: Two Examples

While there is no minimum number of credits required per semester, a workload of 60% or more is recommended. (The two examples below are for a two-thirds workload.)

Note: Neither of these sample timetables are binding; they are intended as examples or 'templates.'

Sample Timetable for Part-Time Students: 66.7% (Example 1)

  • We strongly recommend that students start their studies in the fall semester.
  • In the case of two-semester modules, the total number of ECTS points is 'spread out' over two semesters.
  • While it is possible to go abroad at any point after the first two semesters, the 'template' semester for a stay abroad is semester 5. Please consult the Stay Abroad section of the ES website for more details.
  • The final semester is not ideal for a stay abroad.
